"The Drive-by" nominated for RPLA Award!

RPLA Finalist Badge 2018

My short story, The Drive-by, originally published in the Anthology Busted: Arresting Stories from the Beat (Level Best Books 2017) is a finalist in the published short story genre category of the 2018 Royal Palm Literary Awards (RPLA) competition.

Awards are announced at the Florida Writer's Association Banquet at the FWA Conference in Altamonte Springs on October 20th.

I'm very pleased my story placed, as my novel, The Saffron Crocus, won best YA Historical in 2015.

"The Drive-by" and "The New Score," were both finalists in the 2018  Derringer Awards.

A third story from the same story world,  "King Hanuman" will be released in the 2019  SinCLa Anthology Fatally Haunted, edited by Rachel Howzell Hall, Sheila Lowe, and Laurie Stevens.
